Pepin Name Quilt

Pepin Community Name Quilt

This is the Pepin name quilt.  It was donated in memory of Rita Sinjen Moline and Lucy Sinjen by their daughters/granddaughters Dana Moline and Wanda Moline Haas.  It includes approximately 300 distinct names, some of which are repeated.  The names are of residents of the Village of Pepin, Hicks Valley, Big Hill, Pepin Hill, Little Plum Valley and a couple of businesses.  It is unknown who actually created it and for what reason.  It is believed that Rita and Lucy were instrumental in its creation. Research found that this quilt was created before 1943, but no actual date has been found.  The quilt is on permanent display in the main room of the library.
